ICT Helpful Tools for Teaching

ICT is a communication device or application that we can communicate through technology, we can use cellphone, computer and etc, ICT we can use it everywhere, ICT is very helpful and useful to us. Using ICTs as tools for information presentation is of mixed  effectiveness.

As a Teacher the use of ICTs as presentation tools (through overhead and LCD projectors, television, electronic whiteboards, guided "web-tours", where students simultaneously view the same resources on computer screens) is seen to be of mixed effectiveness. While it may promote class understanding of and discussion about difficult concepts (especially through the display of simulations), such uses of ICTs can re-enforce traditional pedagogical practices and divert focus from the content of what is being discussed or displayed to the tool being utilized.

ICT is very helpful for teaching, we can do anything and enhance our lesson plan. Through ICT we can use a power point during in our class to assist our student to learn more effectively. In advantages of ICT is if we cannot understand some words we can search it to computer so that we can understand it better. ICT is very useful for science subject because we can search more example so through it the student will easily to understand about the lesson, through ICT I will let my student to watch movie in connected of my lesson so they will have an idea what our lesson all about and they can understand it. we can have used Power Point and other computer programs to improve our presentation of material to class. As a teacher my responsible is to guide my students, as what I know some the parents of student are in abroad, so of course we need to communicate their parents about their children, so through ICT I we can use cellphone and computer to give information about their children, ICT is very helpful to collaborate with parents especially from abroad.

ICT in the Ministry/Profession

ICT in the Ministry/Profession
"Technology is a useful servant, but a dangerous master."
-Christian Lous Lange

The world we live in is always in a rush without any hint of slowing down any time soon. Everyone is always in a hurry. No one wants to take time to brew their coffee. Some don't even have the time to. That is why we have instant products like instant noodles and instant coffee. We can also find hundreds of fast food chains around the world for people who don't even have the time to cook for themselves. The point is everyone is in a rush even when there's no need to be.
The same can be said for technology. Honestly, the same can be said especially for technology. In our fast paced, modern world, technology is one of those that moves the fastest if not the fastest. In just a span of five to ten years, we can see how different technology is now from what it used to be. In just a span of a year or two, if not months, we can see how products are improving and constantly upgrading. It is so fast that some of us may find it difficult to keep pace with the world.
So how what does this have to do with my profession or my ministry? Well, first of all it can either be a blessing or a curse. It all depends on how I use it. Second, everyone nowadays has one of their own set of gadgets. So in my profession the people I deal with, which will mostly be kids, will undeniably have their own gadgets or technology. So, clearly, I will have to use technology in my field.
In my profession, and for many others, it is a blessing. Personally, it is because it makes planning and preparations easier and faster. It also makes lessons easier to teach and making and designing materials becomes easier, improved, and more enhanced. I also notice that students are motivated to when using technology during their lessons and that is definitely a good thing for teachers.
However, technology has its fair share if disadvantages. As mentioned earlier, technology constantly changes, upgrades, and improves. This means that I, too, must constantly keep track of these improvements if I want to be able to use technology to its fullest. Another disadvantage is that technology is an easy distraction for students. We, teachers, have to be careful in using technology in the classroom. Instead of learning through technology, the students' focus may not be on the lesson but diverted to the technology itself.
Quoting Einstein and Lange, they said:
"I fear the day that technology will surpass our human interaction."
-Albert Einstein
"Technology is a useful servant, but a dangerous master."
-Christian Lous Lange

Be very careful how we use technology. We must remember that we control technology. Technology does not control us.

ICT In The Field Of Teaching

ICT is a device that includes communication devices like cellphones, computers and many more. ICT helps us very much especially when the times of difficulties. The nature of ICT you can use this anywhere and everywhere you need. Through this ICT we can be able to be aware of the things around us, like for example the news or the upcoming events that will be going to happen soon. I find that ICT helps education because this will give us more information and helps us broaden our understanding and through this we can be able to explore to the things that we find difficult or hard.

As a teacher in the future this helps me a lot, as we all know that children are more into technology now a day so when I will use a computer inside the classroom of course that will help me get their attention and make the learnings more exciting to everyone. This will help me to make things easier when I will do my lesson plan I can ask help from the internet and search whatever that helps me to improve my thing.  If a school that has an internet of course we will not be having hard time searching or looking for somethings that we will do inside the classroom especially to the younger one or to the toddlers, when they get bored we can easily let them watch from the internet that will help them have fun. But, as what I’ve seen there is also an advantage and dis-advantage.  The advantage thing is that, yes, it will help us to make things easier and faster. But the dis-advantaged is that technology or the ICT will make us lazy in everything, we will not be able to think anymore because we will always ask help for the internet. We are depending ourselves to the technology or to the internet anymore. So for the conclusion it’s good to use internet, technology etc., but not to the extent that this will replace you as a human or for me as a teacher in the future. So beware and have some limits. Don’t let technology replace your profession.

Ministry with ICT

In the world today if you don’t know how to use and connect on computers and all, you are very behind of the nature of the very said techy world. The world that is now technology is fast arising, you need also to cope up in the said reality. Technology is very advantage in the sense if you were schooling, because everything is now on the internet. One browse and you get what you want already. In fact, you will be given many choices for you to have many ideas and knowledge about what will you search and what will you study. Personally, for me the use of technology very advantage. For all of the books that you wanted to read and search in the library is all given in the technologies already. But more often, technology is also having its disadvantages. Like we use the technology the advantage that all of the questions you asked is there and even making requirements and everything is provided. Technology is also one of the good thing that happened. For us to people to have enjoyment or pass times if we are bored and many more. Technology is the one that also takes out the time of family, friends, the so called “relationships” because people now have no time for that, all they are concern of is the technology, the social media and many more. Using technology nowadays has two differences. It makes people more knowledgeable, more advance etc… or it makes people dumber, (tamad) and the worst it makes people more bad.

In the near future ministry, I know that technology will really have a big part of contribution of it. One thing that I want to make sure that, in my future ministry will not be affected just because of what technology brings to the people, to the minds of the people. I want to make sure that they will just recognize the technology, yes the technology not that they really need it for their lives but it’s just part of their lives.

Uprising Life: The Good Thing of Technology

Technology is highly rising at this generation. It is the common thing that human depends everywhere and anywhere around the world. It is also obvious that with technology our lives became lighter and faster.
I can say that human minds are incredible, which we should thank the God Almighty for it. Technology starts from the human thoughts that are not satisfied of the things that they have, which come up of the things that we have right now. Although it’s growth throughout the year was alarming when we connect it to the revelation in the BIBLE. But we humans are all thankful on how the technology helps us in our daily lives. Looking to the good side of it, it will be a great of help in our work, studies and daily routine when we make use of it efficiently.

As a future teacher I look on technology as a good vehicle in teaching. It is a good way to get the attention of students without trying hard. It will also be easier for the teachers to meet the needs of the students and to give them an enjoyable way of learning first hand. Through a good visuals and presentations we can let them see and identify things by their own eyes. As technology continue to expand, we may not just let the students see it but we may also let them feel it. But of course let us not forget the responsibilities that technology offers us. Let us be a responsible user and beneficiary of it.

ICT in the Context of Education

According to an African proverb, “A person who asks questions understands a new language faster.” Using ICT in education provides many opportunities for the students. It can be an avenue for many discoveries, learning and growth. As a future teacher, to become effective in my field I should know how to utilize ICT in my advantage. I have to develop knowledge and skills in this area.
It is already proven that ICT has a significant impact on student’s learning. But to have more meaningful improvements, a teacher has to continue in exploring and discovering new effective approaches. I believe that the government has to help in training teachers on how to integrate ICT in the classroom.
We benefit from ICT in many ways and the development of education is one of them. With the help of ICT, there is a higher quality of lessons in the classroom with the help of teachers. According to what I have learned in my previous subjects like EdTech, with the help of technology students are more successful in school and they are more motivated to learn. We have to keep up with the constant demand of our modern era.

There are times that technology has its disadvantages like the resources are not updated and there is lack of materials and there is no one knowledgeable enough on how to use it but I believe that this hindrance has a solution. We just have to continue in pursuing new heights, we should not settle for mediocrity, we have to keep on discovering new approaches and be open to the endless possibilities ICT has to offer.

ICT In The Field of Ministry

In this life surrounded with technology, we find life easier specially in getting information and communicating to people. In just a click of a mouse, you can access everything and everyone. ICT gives a lot of help in my ministry today and even in the future ministry.
As a minister, I find technology as a big help specially in Sunday services, special occasions and spreading announcements and news. It improves and gives color to every event that I am going to organized. For example, doing some video presentations and PowerPoint presentations for my preaching- it helps me to explain well my sermons through presenting them such visuals pictures and videos. It also gives a lot of information and commentaries in order to make my sermons well and right. Unlike before, when you need an information about something, it consumes a lot of time finding a book and searching it one by one. However nowadays, it just one search and everything you need was there from very specific information that you need to general information. This how amazing and incredible technology can give to us.
With this world that we are living right now, there is always a room for improvement I will not be surprise if years from now, everything is already beyond our reached due to the help of technology. My prayer for everyone is that eventhough we are surrounded of things such as this, we may be a good steward of every thing that God entrusted us to have.

ICT: A Challenge accepted

The main purpose why technology is invented is to make life easier and accessible, it aims to unify people through technology. In the context of most people today, almost everyone has the access through wide varieties of gadgets and devices. Technology itself has brought us closer and closer together. And as future ministers of Christ, it is an evident challenge to be relevant in the world we now live in and also to be faithful to the text. The main purpose of our existence is to Glorify God in everything we do. But that's not the usual thing most people in the world today do. Though technology can bridge the gap of distance it is also the other way around. Through technology people begin to invest time in front of computer screens and gadgets rather than investing time for productivity and for the benefit of the soul. Today's generation is an example how technology makes its own gaps in the lives of young men and women. It does have another advantage, with technology data gathering becomes a lot easier and efficient. In the world of academics, information is a necessity. It is the life blood which makes us move forward for the future. Yet on the other hand technology is very wide. And it also has all. From academic lessons and health information that contributes to the well development of a person to pornographic sites and other destructive information that could corrupt a person. The world today is being narrow down by technology. Although it also has its power of advantages it can also leave a devastating trail to those people who would harness that power for destructive purposes. This is a great challenge for us pastors to be in the future. That challenge is how to be relevant and in the same time faithful to the scriptures. Knowing that scriptures is the only thing that we human beings need.  That's one challenge I am will to accept.
